What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This project brings back memories of scribbling block designs on scraps of paper.

They look much better all neat and tidy and in full colour!

I chose eight blocks , some fabrics, and started playing, and still playing years later!

I like both these interesting blocks!

I started sharing designs from this project file in 2008, soon after I started the blog. I started using individual designs and trying to find names for them, but within a couple of months worked out that there had to be a better way, and started project files with a collection of blocks and kept playing with the same blocks in the same colours and finding many, many ways of arranging them. I admit to being completely and utterly addicted to seeing just what happens as I mix up the blocks, but I am not looking to have my addiction ...

Interesting, but I like the first one better.

This series was one of the early ones using original design blocks, and before I really got into modifying blocks … but there are a few modifications in the designs.

The second one does have a modification …

… the third one has two modifications of one block.

I think I need to play with the colouring a bit, but I can see potential for a very interesting quilt in this one.
